MEET MIKE
“When we were looking for a wedding photographer, we knew pretty quickly that Eastbrook Photography was going to be our top choice. Having just celebrated our wedding, we could not have been anymore pleased or impressed with Mike. His photography style and his technical expertise are second to none, and some of the shots that he took were absolutely incredible. Mike is also very friendly, and was a pleasure to work with during the planning process. We could tell during our wedding day that he takes a lot of pride in his work, and was prepared for all of the standard wedding photo shots as well as unique ones that required some pre-scouting.”
Courtney + David
On September 26th of last year, my wife Charlotte and I hopped on a trolley with our closest friends and family, leaving our reception at Common House in Richmond. But this story isn’t about us. This story takes place half a year later.
When I entered Union Hall for the first time since our wedding, I knew Courtney and David’s day was going to be one for the ages. The subtle floral arrangements designed by Fleuressence garnished the gentle toned elegance that makes Common House a unique and special venue.
It was with a calm certainty that Courtney prepared for her ceremony while David and the guys enjoyed watching the Capitals destroy the Panthers before unwinding at a bar down the street. When they finally came together at the end of the aisle it was with ear-to-ear smiles and adoring glances of effortless affection.
Following a passionate first kiss, the newly weds and I snuck upstairs to a bar/library (how cool is that?!) for their couples shoot, before heading to the basement to create a movie theatre date. The love they shared for each other filled the room making my job the easiest in the world! I barely had to give any direction as they couldn’t keep their eyes off of each other.
A few hilarious and heartfelt speeches later, Byron, the DJ from Level up Entertainment, turned up the music and had the crowd dancing through the night. Just before it was time to leave Courtney and David shared an intimate moment on the rain-soaked patio, creating a scene that would fit nicely into any Hollywood blockbuster.
