EPIC ROYAL WEDDING | DOVER HALL | SHANNON + JUSTIN

MEET MIKE

“What I was looking for in a photographer when shopping through vendors was someone with the consistent composition I preferred and Mike always did a stellar job at taking photos that captured the entire moment just right! He also got all the little details we want to remember about our special day and that’s so important to us. We are very much looking forward to working together again in the future.

Shannon + Justin

As someone who loves all things fantasy – castles, knights, etc. – you can imagine my excitement when Shannon first told me about her and Justin’s plans for their Dover Hall wedding. From the tiara that graced her head, to the glass chess pieces and metal key party favors, everything about their wedding seemed taken straight out of 14th century Europe.

If the calligraphy covered programs and signs weren’t enough, Joseph and his team at Riverwood Designs covered the (throne) room in elaborate purple flower displays and golden candelabras. Guests arrived to the melodic notes of an acoustic guitar before the bride and groom’s grand entrances.

While the decor was absolutely spectacular, nothing could compare to the love radiating between Shannon and Justin. The two of them couldn’t keep their eyes off each other or the grins off of their faces. Surrounded by friends and family, the happy couple said their vows in front of a massive fireplace and shared their first kiss as newly weds to raucous cheers and applause.

After the family formals I was lucky enough to steal the bride and groom away for a bit for photos around the grounds of Dover Hall. I knew from their engagement session that Shannon and Justin were going to be amazing in front of the camera and they absolutely were. Holding hands and beaming at each other as the sun set behind them, they casually walked through the grassy front lawn and stole a few kisses with the late autumn leaves as a stunning backdrop.

And then the party started. Everyone hit the dance floor and elation ensued. Just before their grand  sparkler exit Shannon and Justin had a surprise for their guests. For the final dance of the night, they had brought thousands of white feathers that their friends and family threw in the air as they clung to each other. Shannon and Justin had a vision of what they wanted their special day to be and it was just as magical as they had hoped.
